M5 RADAR portable-standard is the first extension of the reliable modular Device of Traffic Surveillance Mark M5 SPEED. It can be set up in vehicles or on a tripod in connection with a vehicle which carries the central unit M5.

The size-reduced version M5 RADAR portable-compact, very handy at usage, derived from the previously mentioned standard version and using the same components. It is exclusively dedicated to portable measurements. Because of the unproblematic insertion of the radar module into existing M5 devices and in connection with radar antennas, portable use is ensured.

A hybrid variant is represented by M5 RADAR stationary which combines the advantages of M5 SPEED and M5 RADAR. But the speed sensor is a radar antenna instead of pavement sensors. The radar antenna is mounted in the pole and on the suitable height for the capture of the vehicles' entire bodies.

The saving of cost is obvious because the M5 system can be used as radar equipment at any monitored location as well as stationary measuring device with firmly installed sensors. The required kind of application is automatically identified and activated.

The device of traffic surveillance provides excellent measuring reliability and its user-friendliness stands out.

Features of M5 RADAR are as follows:

-  The measuring procedure based on Doppler effect with slant bearing and digital

   signal processing.

-  25° measuring angle (closer photo position).

-  Photo analysis starts processing after completed measurements, it means

   photos with possibly incorrect results of measurement will not be recorded

   (saving of digital memory as well as film material).

-  Optional use of video cameras and displays makes the control of the eligible

   photo range and the measuring site easier.
